Magic Cookie Bars

This is probably one of the most delicious cookies in the world. This amazing cookie bar is a succulent combination of chocolate, nuts and sweet coconut and milk. The nice thing about this recipe is that you can manipulate it in many, many ways to add things you like or omit things you don't.

Ingredients/ Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees & coat a 13x9" baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. If you use a glass baking dish, adjust your temperature to 325 degrees.

 2. To make the crust you have a couple of great options: Graham Cracker Crust or Shortbread Cookie Crust. To make the Graham Cracker Crust you combine 1/2 cup of butter & 1 1/2 cup of graham cracker crumbs & press into the bottom of your pan. To make the Shortbread Cookie Crust you combine 1/2 cup of butter & 1 1/2 cup of shortbread cookie crumbs (just buy Lorna Doone shortbread cookies and crush them in a thick freezer baggie with a rolling pin or the smooth side of a meat tenderizing hammer.

 3. To make the cookie filling, pour 1 (14oz.) can of sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumb mixture. Layer evenly with 2 cups of chocolate chips, 1 1/2 cups of coconut, and 1 cup of chopped walnuts.

 4. There are many other combinations you could apply to this recipe. You could use any type of nut: walnut, pecan, macadamia nut, cashew, etc. You could also use white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, peanut butter chips, candy chips, or toffee chips...or a combination of multiple chocolates!

 5. Bake cookie bars for 25 minutes. Make sure they cool completely before cutting because they will be gooey! Cut into bars or diamonds and serve with ice cold milk!
